| 2008 Pinot Noir Black Oak Vineyard |
$249.60/case |
$26/bottle |
The Black Oak Vineyard is one of our estate vineyards, planted in 1972. In 2008, the vineyard reached the peak of ripeness, with a moderate-sized crop. The wine was aged exclusively in French oak barrels and underwent a native secondary fermentation. The bouquet is notable for a hazelnut aroma, and on the palate shows very concentrated flavors of black cherry and blackberry, with a peppery but smooth finish.
| 2008 Umpqua Valley |
$172.80/case |
$18/bottle |
Grapes from our two estate vineyards as well as two neighboring vineyards were the sources for this wine. It has a complex bouquet of strawberry, delicate flavors of cherry and vanilla, and candied cherry/earthy finish. The wine was aged in a combination of French, Hungarian and American oak cooperage.

Elkton Vineyard |
$249.60/case |
$26/bottle |
This wine was made primarily from a section of the vineyard planted with the Pommard clone of pinot noir, which lent a floral touch to the bouquet. The wine has a bit leaner style than many of our single-vineyard bottlings, which makes the wine particularly suitable to accompany richer meals such as salmon or roast meats. The wine was aged exclusively in Hungarian oak cooperage, with 50% new.

| 2008 Pinot Gris Pace Family Vineyard |
$144.00/case |
$15/bottle |
The Pace Family Vineyard is adjacent to our Black Oak Vineyard, on a moderately sloping west-facing hillside. This vintage was influenced by relatively cool summer but dry and warm October, which resulted in the grapes staying on the vine two weeks longer than usual, which increases flavor intensity. The wine has a powerful nose with some grassy notes, softer flavors of citrus with a touch of vanilla, and a dry finish. We vinified the wine in the traditional Alsatian manner in mostly older oak barrels, with seven months aging.

Gewürztraminer (semi-sweet) |
$115.20/case |
$12/bottle |
This vintage was a great one for gewurz which produced intensely flavored fruit. The wine was fermented and aged in small stainless steel barrels, and bottled early to retain all of it's freshness and zest. The wine contains 2.5% residual sugar. The wine has a delightful ripe apple aroma along with a honeyed flavor.
